Expansion of ERGO's offer on Amazon marketplaces
Since June 1, ERGO has been offering a comprehensive range of annex insurance policies for electrical and household appliances, as well as everyday items on the Amazon marketplaces in Italy and Spain. The technical implementation of the pricing and policy processes is being realized by the Würzburg-based software provider tech11.
Internationalization of ERGO and entry into the annex insurance business
ERGO has taken another important step towards internationalization: Since 1 June, the company has been offering a comprehensive range of appliance and goods protection insurance policies for electrical and household appliances as well as other everyday items such as luggage, handbags and furniture on the Amazon marketplaces in Italy and Spain. The policies are offered as annex insurance policies, i.e. as insurance policies that supplement the purchase of a tangible asset or service. In Germany, ERGO is already one of the fastest-growing annex insurers.

Growth and success of annex insurance in the online business
Market-wide sales of annex insurance policies in online business, which are particularly attractive to younger policyholders, have increased significantly in recent years. ERGO established itself early on as one of the leading insurers in this area and has already concluded numerous successful cooperation agreements with companies from the online retail sector.
Technical implementation by tech11: The platform for annex insurance
The technical implementation of the offer on the Amazon marketplaces in Italy and Spain is being realized entirely by the Würzburg-based software provider tech11. tech11 is a provider of a digital insurance platform for property insurers in Germany and Europe. As a back-end solution, the tech11 Insurance Platform manages all policy management and claims administration processes. It is used to configure insurance products, tariffs and contract documents in the background in real time. In addition, the platform enables country-specific adaptations, the technical implementation of interfaces to distributors and central ERGO systems as well as the connection to a claims adjuster; all in compliance with the highest data protection and security guidelines. The technical solution is operated as a fully-managed cloud-based service by tech11.
Success and international expansion of the tech11 Insurance Platform
